On August 31, 2005 the New Mexico Office of the State
Engineer released new regulations regarding Well Drillers Licensing (a PDF copy
can be found under Licensing on the left). The regulations require that a
either Licensed Driller or a Drill Rig Supervisor (DRS) is on site during all
drilling activity.
As of April 2007 the Office
of the State Engineer has removed the requirement for taking a New Mexico Exam.
Drillers will have until
October 31, 2007 to register all Drill Rig Supervisors that work under their
supervision. |
